Orange County Facts
“Orange County 2006 Community Indicators”
– a report published last year by the Orange County Business Council:
Located along the Pacific Ocean between San Diego and Los Angeles, Orange County (OC) is the second largest county in California and the fifth largest county in the United States.
There are currently 34 cities in OC with a combined population of more than 3,000,000.
At 3,872 persons per square mile, OC is the second most densely populated county in California and 18th among all counties in the U.S.
OC is now a “minority majority” county where no single ethnic group comprises more than 50% of the population.
If OC were a country, its 2003 gross metro product would rank it 42nd in the world.
In 2005, Forbes ranked OC 27th out of 150 metro areas as the best places for business.
