Louis Knobbe co-founded Knobbe Martens Olson & Bear LLP in 1962. He credits Dr. Arnold Beckman with starting the high technology industry we see today in Orange County. The firm’s been in the news lately for the award in a patent infringement case where Masimo won a $265 million settlement against Tyco. He discusses the differences of opinions in terms of intellectual property changes that may be needed in the future.
